Evil People
There are three primary images of evil. One means beastly, another means psycho, and the last means self-proclaimed. In other words, fantastic, unaccountable, and fake. When you put aside the fantastic evil, people generally don't see evil as real. I recently read a post from a blog I frequent that said that evil is generally stupid and that is why it usually fails. However, she defined evil as someone who falsely thinks they are right and justified in what they are doing. This fits under the psycho category. Though they might not be psycho, they are still mentally...wrong. That's not real evil. That means someone who literally thinks they are right. In that case, they are unaccountable for what they are doing. Real evil knows itself. An evil person would be human, sane, and aware. They wouldn't even be driven by greed or addiction. An evil person would be self-driven to do evil for the sake of evil itself.
You might not believe in it merely because you can't understand it. However, do you understand teenagers (if you're an adult)? Since I was so recently a teenager, I can compare adolescence to adulthood somewhat, yet I can see my understanding for them diminishing. Adults think that teenagers live in their own little world that they made up. That is and isn't true. Teenagers are going through a stage when acceptance is so important that they would go to extremes just to have it. Yet so many adults still think that their own mindset is the only valid one. Just like evil, it takes one to know one.
